Latest News from Greenways Village

Greenways was delighted to welcome visitors and friends alike as part of its highly successful Peninsula Open Day held in March.

Joining 15 retirement villages from across the region, Greenways proudly showcased everything that makes village life so special. Thanks to the enthusiasm and hospitality of our wonderful residents, more than 40 visiting groups enjoyed the opportunity to explore the village and experience firsthand the welcoming community that Greenways is known for.

The Open Day also provided the perfect opportunity to unveil our beautifully refurbished Community Centre. Visitors were impressed by the upgraded activities area, library, resident lounge, café, reception and administration areas, all designed to enhance comfort, convenience and community connection. The village's new resident bar also proved to be a popular talking point, offering yet another space for residents to relax and socialise with friends and neighbours.

Adding to the excitement, our friends from 3MP broadcast live from Greenways throughout the day. Popular hosts Grant Johnstone and Adam Kelly spoke with residents Viv and Ian, who shared their personal experiences of life at Greenways and the many reasons they love calling the village home. Their genuine enthusiasm and sense of community shone through on air.

Managing Director Robin Forster also joined the broadcast, highlighting the exceptional lifestyle, friendships, facilities and opportunities that make Greenways such a vibrant and rewarding place to live.

For those who were unable to attend, there will be another opportunity soon. Greenways hosts three Open Days each year, and our next Open Day will be held on Saturday, 13 June, from 10.30am to 1.30pm.
