Latest News from Greenways Village

After years of planning and nearly 12 months of works, Greenways celebrated the reopening of its fully refurbishment community centre in September.

Upgrade works involved stage 1 (community centre and administration area) — completed December 2025 — and stage 2 (apartment, dining and consultants’ area) — completed June 2026.  The renovations were extensive — a complete redesign of all internal areas, new finishings, fixtures and fittings, joinery, new air conditioning and heating systems and flooring, plus new floor-to-ceiling windows to the rear. It was also an opportunity to upgrade the building itself with a full replacement of the roof over the community centre and a repaint of the entire complex together with an upgrade of the outdoor areas.

Residents are loving the new spaces!

Whether its sharing a coffee in the new resident kitchen. Or resting by the fireplace in the upgrade resident lounge. Whether its Happy Hour on Fridays at the new Greenways bar. Or exercising in the new Greenways fitness centre. It could be enjoying a book in the new library, sharing a game in the activities area, or watching a movie on the cinema-screen in the upgraded Pavillion. Residents are spoilt for choice.

It was fantastic to see so many residents attend the official ‘Grand Reopening’ event which also celebrated 50 years of Greenways. The Pavilion was abuzz! Directors Robin Forster, Jonathan Forster and Tim Issacson officially ‘cut the ribbon’ to mark the reopening and residents enjoyed drinks, nibbles and entertainment long into the afternoon.
